Non-repayable grants offered by the Government of Canada are referred to as Federal Student Grants or Canada Student Grants. Unlike loans, grants don’t need to be paid back, and most grants are awarded based on one’s financial need rather than merit. Students from low-income and middle-income families who’re enrolled in a part-time or a full-time under-grad program could avail these grants.
Federal Student Grants are delivered in partnership with participating provinces and territories and you can avail them if you are:
Students enrolling in full-time programs from low- and middle-income families may be eligible for this scholarship.
Students enrolling in part-time programs from low- and middle-income families are eligible for this scholarship.
Students from low- and middle-income households who are enrolled full-time in programs and taking care of dependents may be eligible for this stipend.
Students from low- and middle-income families who are enrolled in part-time programs and have dependents are eligible for this scholarship.
As long as they fulfill the requirements, students with disabilities may apply for this grant for each academic year.
This award is intended to assist students with disabilities with equipment and services connected to their education.
The amount of a Federal Student Grant is determined by a variety of factors, including your province or territory of residency, family income, number of dependents, tuition fees, living expenses, and whether you have a handicap. Federal Student Grants have both an annual and lifetime maximum. Additionally, you can qualify for multiple grant types.
